My parents, Madison's Nana and Grandpa gave her a wagon for Christmas this year. It was a hit right off the bat as we found ourselves pulling it through the house on Christmas morning. I swear to you that this wagon has put more miles on it in the past 6 months than my car has. She can sit and ride forever, if you'd let her. However, let's remember that she is riding and that someone else is actually doing all the work. Jason and I take shifts, usually at about 20-25 laps a piece at a time. I often text Jason's mom pictures of Madison and I playing after school and then evolution of the wagon ride is really starting to crack me up. Here is what I am talking about.
Here we are just riding. Nothing fancy, let's just ride.
Well we can't ride by our self, we now need our friends to come along with us.
Well what fun is the wagon if you can't bring your snacks, drinks, sunglasses, and hat along with you? Also notice the addition of 2 blankets and tennis balls.
The ride is even better if you lay back so you can watch the sky. Yes, this is good. I will relax while someone just pulls me around ~ with my two water bottles now.
This very first started with Madison just filling the wagon with balls, taking them all out, then starting to fill it again. That was fine for about 3 days. On the fourth day, she climbed the wagon and tried to sit on top of the balls! We let her, carefully. Then decided that was funny and all, but she had to sit in the wagon. So she fills it, we get her in and then she will not let us go until each and every ball around her is inside for the ride.
And this is how we wagon today....
What on earth will she think of tomorrow?
