Madison's First Photo Shoot

Lucky for us Jason's sister is a photographer. We owe her all the thanks in the world for offering her services to take these sweet photos of Madison! She came to the hospital and did Madison's first photo shoot! These were taken in the hospital when Madison was 2 days old, less that 48 hours really. It almost seems that she really was cooperating with the camera!

Madison Juliette Vaughan

Welcome to the world Madison!
Madison was born on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 11:19 pm. She weighed 7 lbs 14 oz and was 21.5 inches long.
She was 8 days late, but worth the wait.
We went into labor on our own at home about 1:00 in the afternoon. We checked into the hospital about 3:00 and my water broke on its own about 5:00ish. It all went pretty fast. I started pushing around 9:00 and at about 11:00 after using forceps and having no luck the doctor made the decision to go back for an emergency c-section. Madison's heartbeat was dropping way too low and she was not coming underneath the pubic bone. Doctor Walsh was great and I knew we were all in really good hands with her. In the end everyone is happy and healthy and we are home just enjoying being a family.
